New App Allows Users to Record with Consent to Sex
with a new app being developed that allows men and women to give sexual consent through a digital binding contract.
A Dutch tech company responded to victims of the #MeToo movement by creating an app called ‘LegalFlings.’ That app would, just as you guessed it, allow participants to sign a legally binding contract before intercourse.
Once a couple or group decides to participate in sexual relations, they can all sign contracts through the app, which are then stored on a blockchain, which is a digital ledger company that will keep records in different locations.
Arnold Daniels, who is the creator of LegalFling commented on the app in an email to Business Insider saying, “The app is meant to be a fun solution for navigating the often ambiguous nuances of sexual consent.” Daniels and team understand some of the potential flaws with the app and are still working on it before making it live in a few weeks. "Before making it public, we need to get enough input to be confident we're addressing the problem in the right way," Daniels said in an email.
